Medium-voltage cables are used in the industry, power production, power transfer and distribution, and at wind farms. In addition, these medium-voltage cables are used in public transportation infrastructures, for example, to power up train and metro lines.
Range:
Single core cables: copper / aluminium, armoured / un-armoured,
pvc/pe/lsf sheathing from25mm² to 1000 mm².
Three core cables: 6.6kv to 33kv with copper/ aluminium, armoured and un-armoured, pvc/pe/lsf sheathing up to 400mm²
With triple-layer Cross Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, Medium Voltage Cables are highly resistant to both very high and very low temperatures, as well as moisture and chemicals, ensuring a long lifespan and fewer breakdowns. The use of XLPE also affords the benefits of the material’s excellent electrical and mechanical properties, and its low dielectric factor.
Standard outer sheathing on our Medium Voltage Cables is extruded PVC type ST2; special PVC sheathing can be accommodated on special request; in addition, other sheathing materials such as low smoke halogen free (LSHF), LLDPE, MDPE and HDPE are available on requested cables.
