How Does an LED Screen Work?
An LED (light emitting diode) wall is made of individual red, green, and blue LED lights that, together, form an image.
In an LED screen or LED video wall, the LEDs are arranged in a grid, with each LED representing one pixel. The LEDs are grouped together in clusters, called modules, which are then assembled to form the larger screen. The number of LEDs in each module and the number of modules used to create the screen determine the resolution of the display.
They can be used to display text, images, and videos at events in a bright, visually captivating way.
What is Pixel Pitch?
Pixel pitch is a measure of the density of pixels in an LED screen. It refers to the distance between the centers of two adjacent pixels on an LED screen, and is typically measured in millimeters (mm).
The smaller the pixel pitch, the more pixels are packed into a given area, resulting in a higher resolution and more detailed image. If your audience is closer to the screen, renting a LED wall with a higher-resolution is best.
If the LED screen is intended for viewing from a greater distance, such as in a stadium, a larger pixel pitch is more common.
