Martensitic stainless steel is an iron-based stainless steel alloy Type AISI 410 or WN 1.4006 or EN X12Cr13,

alloyed with Chromium and containing a certain amount of carbon.

Usually the martensitic steel grades are hardened and tempered, thus resulting in exceptional hardness and strength.

AISI 410 Stainless steel, iron is alloyed with 11.5~13.5% chromium and 0.08~0.15% carbon.

BS EN 10088-2 is the material standard for stainless steel sheet, plate and strip for general purposes.
