The material 1.4980 ( 660 ) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy.

The additional alloy elements aluminum and titanium allow this material to undergo precipitation hardening (aging)

through the formation of intermetallic phases.

The addition of molybdenum increases the mechanical properties and resistance to creep at high temperatures.

At temperatures up to 700°C, the stainless material 1.4980 offers excellent high-temperature strength and

is clearly superior to low-alloy steels or common stainless steels.
