Cold Drawn Stainless Steel Bright Wire EN 1.4749 DIN X18CrN28 AISI 446
Heat resisting grade 446 stainless steel is a ferritic, non-heat treatable stainless steel that provides
good resistance to high temperature oxidation and corrosion.
Because of the excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures this grade is widely
used as furnace parts and boiler baffles.
For construction parts, which should be resistant to scaling up to about 1100°C
and extensively inured to the effects of sulphurous gases.
The inclination to carbonisation in reduced gases is very low.
