Martensitic stainless steels have high resistance to atmospheric oxidation environments,
without substantially decreasing hardness (up to 500°C).
This means that they can be used in operations that require resistance to high-temperatures.
Because of this characteristic, they are used in the food, beverage, chemical, petrochemical, machinery
and equipment industries. It can be used in cutlery items, shafts, surgical instruments, screws, nuts, blades
and other parts for steam turbines, as well as valves and valve rods.
Grade EN 1.4021 DIN X20Cr13, Hardenable stainless steel, which can be hardened to approximately
Rockwell C 50.
