DIN 1.2083 is a chromium alloyed stainless mould tool steel.

 

Characterised by a combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and the ability to

reach uniform hardness throughout large cross sections.

1.2083 has the added benefits of steel that possesses good wear resistance and excellent polishability.

The combination of these properties provides a steel with outstanding performance which

makes 1.2083 tool steel particularly suitable for moulds for chemically aggressive plastics.

Industries: Plastics, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Chemical etc.

 

Moulds for chemically aggressive products, moulds for optical products, moulds for medical products,

mould and pressure tools, tooling and inserts for corrosive plastics and polymers,
