Grade 409 is a weldable ferritic stainless steel with good oxidation resistance in dry air.
This product is also available as low-carbon 409L.
Current uses include automotive and truck exhaust systems, tubular manifolds, agricultural spreaders, gas
turbine exhaust silencers, heat exchangers and fuel filters.
