Grade XM-12 UNS S15500 15-5PH Stainless Steel Sheet Plate And Strip Coil
15-5PH is a precipitation hardening alloy exhibiting high strength and hardness with moderate
corrosion resistance. Stainless alloy 15-5PH is a variant of the older 17-4PH and 15-5PH was
designed to have greater toughness than UNS S17400, especially in the through-thickness
(short transverse) direction.
Material 15-5PH is used in applications that require high transverse strength and toughness
such as engine parts, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components etc.
