Ho:YAG (Holmium-doped Yttrium aluminum garnet, Ho:Y3Al5O12) is an efficient laser crystal that generates 2.1-μm laser emission from the 5I7 - 5I8 transition. This crystal can be pumped directly by diode lasers or Tm-doped fiber lasers, delivering high slope efficiencies for demanding applications.
