IEC 62196-1Ed.4CDV 2020 Article 16.16 requires the use of this pullout force test instrument.
Test principle: The fixed accessory (socket or vehicle air intake) is installed in such a way that during the first stage of insertion, the mating accessory is moved vertically downward. A main weight of 9.2 kg is placed appropriately on the fitting attachment. If the mobile fitting does not enter the position required for the fixed fitting, the auxiliary weight of 0.8 kg is allowed to fall on the main weight from a height of 5 cm. Then, the moving fitting should enter the position required for the fixed fitting so that the contacts are properly engaged.
This product is used to test whether the maximum force required to pull a plug out of a receptacle or connecting device and the minimum force required to pull a unipolar plug out of a receptacle assembly are within the limits specified in the standard.
