This Anti-inverted siphon test device meets the requirements of IEC 60335-1 clause 22.48. It is used for anti-siphonage performance test of water inlet valves for appliances (such as washing machines) intended to be connected to the water mains for household and similar purposes.
The vacuum system of the equipment simulates the vacuum condition of the water supply pipeline to detect whether siphoning occurs in the inlet valve. There is a transparent container between the sample and the vacuum pump of the equipment, designed to collect water drawn in during a failed siphon test to protect the vacuum pump from damage.
