1900 ℃ Electric MoSi2 Heating Element High Temperature Furnace
1900 ℃ molybdenum disilicide electric heating element high temperature furnace electric heating element
Introduction of molybdenum disilicide electric heating element
Molybdenum disilicide electric heating element is a non-metallic electric heating element. It is made of high-purity green hexagonal silicon carbide as the main raw material and recrystallized at 2200 ° C. the normal use temperature can reach 1550 ° C. under reasonable use conditions, it can be used continuously for more than 2000 hours. It is used in the air without any protective atmosphere. Suitable for various electric furnaces and kilns.
Molybdenum disilicide electrothermal element has high oxidation resistance. Under high temperature atmosphere, a dense quartz SiO2 protective layer is formed on the surface of the original to prevent MoSi2 from further oxidation. When the SiO2 protective layer with an element temperature of more than 1700 degrees and a melting point of 1710 degrees melts, the SiO2 melts into droplets due to the surface tension, and the protective effect is lost. The SiO2 protective layer is regenerated when the element is used in an oxidizing atmosphere.

Chemical Properties of Physical Properties of Moly Disilicide Heating Elements
Oxygen-resistance under high temperature: in oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz protective film is formed on the surface of element owing to the high temperature combustion, which prevent Mosi2 from oxidizing more. When the element temperature is higher than 1700 °C, the film becomes melting. It’s not suitable for long time use in the temperature range of 400-700°C, otherwise, the element will be powdering for the strong oxidation under low temperature.
