Furnaces Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element
1800℃ U Shape MoSi2 Heating Element
Product Introduction:
U shape MoSi2 Heating Element used in the industries of metallurgy, glass, ceramic refractory, crystal electronic device, industrial furnace manufacture, etc. It is an essential ideal element when the products are sintering in the high temperature.
Chemical Properties
MoSi2 Heating Elements have the ability to withstand oxidation at high temperatures, which is due to the formation of a thin and adhesive protective layer of quartz glass (SiO2) on the surface. When the element temperature increases to over 1700℃, the SiO2 protective layer, with melting point being 1710℃ will be fused, and because of the surface tension, it will be fused into drops, which is useless. However, when element continue working in oxidizing atmospheres, the SiO2 protective layer is spontaneously rebuilt.
Note: It is better not use Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Elements for a long time within a range of 400-700℃, otherwise the element will be powdered by the strong low temperature oxidation.

Specification
- Spark 1800 MoSi2 Heating Element
- High temperature MoSi2 heating element for various electric furnaces.
- Max. working temperature 1730℃ ( 3346°F )
- Compact protective layer of quartz glass
- Long life combined with ease of replacing failed elements contributes to a high degree of utilization of the furnace and low maintenance costs.
- New and old elements can be connected in series
- Can be used continuously or intermittently
Advantage
- Elements have the capabilities to resistance to oxidation and automatically repair, suitable for continued using in any kinds of oxidizing atmospheres.
- Elements are shaped in hot-working process, which keeps the base material in good tenacity and plasticity at high temperatures. The geometrical figure, standard and dimension is canonical, may produce any special shape and any dimension to meet the customer requirement.
- Because of the special technology, welding spot is fast and shock resistance, which dramatically reduced the damaged probability of welding spot by electric current, as well as transit and installation.
- High density of Spark MoSi2 Heating Elements increases its electrical conductivity. The characters of faster warming and power consumption low, which reduce production cost.
- Good appearance quality and tenacity, high mechanical strength.
- Adopt special technology, heaters come with compact protective layer, excellent performance in no-oxidizing atmosphere electric furnaces.
Note: For inquiry, it is better to provide a drawing of the element and specify the element diameters in millimeters. For example, an element with a (D1) diameter of 9 mm and a (D2) diameter of 18 mm is often referred to as a 9/18 element.
