Points of ITI Straumann Bone level Straight Abutment:

Narrow connection (NC) Implant/abutment platform diameter abutments can be categorized in to four groups, anatomic, gold (UCLA), ceramic and "cementable". Anatomic, gold and ceramic abutments are intended to be selected and modified extra orally on a master model after a fixture level impression (direct, indirect).

"Cementable" abutments (Fig.7) are envisioned to be installed on to the implant and impressed with the abutment level impression technique, much like solid abutments for tissue level implants.

Cementable abutments are not cemented in to the implant as the name might suggest but screwed on to the implant like other abutments for bone level implants. Twelve different color coded "cementable" abutment versions are produced, combining two different emergence profiles (Fig.7, left) 3.5mm blue, 5.0mm yellow) and three collar heights (Fig.7, bottom row 1, 2, 3mm) with two abutment portion heights (Fig.7, right 4mm, 5.5mm). A color band etched on to the coronal portion of the abutment indicates the abutment portion height (4mm black, 5.5mm white).
