CAS 8002-26-4 Refined Tall Oil Yellow Liquid Used in Adhesives
Product Description & Application:
A: In the process of papermaking, pine is boiled with alkali under pressure, fatty acids and rosin acids in pine are
dissolved in the form of sodium soap in the lye to get "black liquor soap", treated with sulfuric acid to get crude
tal oil, which is made by distillation. It is mainly used to produce oilfield chemicals and ore flotation agents. It is also
used in the production of dimer and trimer fatty acids used in the coating industry.
B, fatty acids from Tol oil. The scum of coniferous trees obtained from the waste liquor of pulping by sulfate process,
after acidification, the oily substance obtained is a mixture of rosin acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid, which is called tol oil.
The fatty acid of Tual oil obtained by fractionating Tual oil contains 6% ~ 8% rosin acid, which is the raw material of soap
making. Further fractionation results in high quality Tol fatty acids containing less than 2% resinous acids, which can be used
to manufacture dimer fatty acids and other products
