Description:
PVA: The appearance is white flake, granular or powdery solid (low alkali alcoholysis process) or white flocculent solid (high alkali alcoholysis process). Specific gravity: 1.23-1.31g/cm3, flake PVA filling gravity: 0.42-0.52g/cm3, flocculent PVA filling gravity: 0.20-0.27g/cm3.
Chemical characeristics
1) Solubility: The Polyvinyl alcohol powder can be dissolved in water. PVA with Less than 95%alcoholysis degree can be dissolved in water at room temperature and PVA with more than 99.5% alcoholysis degree can only be dissolved in hot water above 95℃.
2) Thermal Stability: The heat can make PVA soften and there is no significant change below 40℃ but 160 ℃ or more, for a long time heated ,it will gradually be colored .when 220℃ above it is decomposed to produce water, acetic acid, acetaldehyde and propylene aldehyde.
3) Chemical Resistance: PVA is almost free from weak acid, weak base, or the impact of organic solvents, oil is very high.
4) Storage Stability: PVA is a low viscosity of the polymer, the solution is stable at room temperature. Aqueous solution in the storage process is not degenerate.
5) Film: As the high adhesion between PVA molecular, PVA is easy to form a colorless, transparent film with good mechanical strength, smooth surface without tacky, and good solvent resistance. Monolayer has excellent light-admitting quality , high permeability rate, no charged, no absorption and good printing character.

Application:
Polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) is mainly used in the production of synthetic fibers, plastics, adhesives, coatings, new building materials and other products, and is widely used in chemical, textile, printing and papermaking, leather industry, construction and other industries and domains.
Textile sizing: Pva can be used as texitel sizing and warp sizing widely.it is easy to make pva sizing agent and this agnet has good adhesion to cotton,line,polyester,vinylone and viscose fiber.
Construction paint: Water soluble paint based on pva is no expansion, no embrittlement,no toxicity and hazard,convinence to be used and lower in price.it is widely used as construction paints,such as building interior and exterior wall,floorboard,etc.
Storage:
Avoid generation or accumulation of dusts. Take precautionary measures against static discharges, earth/ground all equipment. Avoid contact with heated or molten product. Use local exhaust ventilation in processing area. Take precautionary measures against direct sunlight and rain drenching during transport. Keep transportation vehicle clean. Avoid packaging destruction and keep away from impurity.
