FeCr alloys typically contain 0.5-4%, yttrium can enhancethe oxidation resistance of stainless steel and ductile; MB26 alloy add the right amount of yttrium-richmixed rare earth alloy overall performance has been significantly improved, can replace some of thestrong aluminum alloy used for the force components of the aircraft; adding a small amount of rare earthyttrium rich in Al-Zr alloys, alloy electrical conductivity can be increased; this alloy has beenadopted by most domestic wire factory; adding yttrium copper alloys to improve the electrical conductivity and mechanical strength; yttrium-containing 6% aluminum and 2% of silicon nitride ceramicmaterial, can be used to develop engine components; power of 400 watts for a neodymium YAG laser beamdrilling, cutting and welding of large components,machining,and so on.for the electron microscope screen Y-Al garnet single crystal composed of high fluorescence brightness, low absorption of the scattered light, good resistance to high temperature and resistance to mechanical wear properties; for high-yttrium alloy structure can be used in aviation and other requirements of low density and high meltingoccasions; for doped yttrium SrZrO3 temperature proton-conducting material, the fuel cell, electrolytic cell and the requirements of the production of hydrogen gas sensor of a high solubility of great importance; for high-temperature coating materials, nuclear reactor fuel diluent, permanent magnet materials and additives for the electronics industry, like breathing.

 

Application:

High purity Yttrium Oxides are the most important materials for tri-bands Rare Earth phosphors which give the red colour in colour television & computer tubes. In optical industry, the Yttrium Oxide is used to produce yttrium-iron-garnets, which are very effective microwave filters. Low purity of Yttrium Oxide are widely applied in electronic ceramics.
