Copolymerized resin is a light yellow granular solid resin.It takes byproduct of C5 and C9 fractions which is from ethylene unit sa raw matreial and it's a low molecular weight polymer.Under the action of catalyst and certain temperature and pressure condition,it is produced by polymerization reaction through special production technology.This petroleum resin has good compatibility with natural rubber(NR),synthetic rubber,styrene polymer(such as SIS,SBS,SBES,EVA)and so on.And also it is good compatible to rubber tackifying resin(eg terpene,rosin and its derivative).Expect that,C5/C9 copolymerized petroleum resin has both advantages of C5 resin C9 resin.

1.Low acid value, good compatibility and resistance of water,alcohol and chemicals.It has chemical stability for acid-bases,and it can adjust viscosity and has good thermostability.

2.As no polar gene contained instructure,so it has good water resistance,acid-bases resisitance and climatic resisitance and light-proof aging.It has good solubility in organic solvent,especially in petroleum solvent, and what's more,it has good compatibility with other resins,and has a certain fragility,viscosifying capacity,cohesiveness and plasticity.Generally speaking,it isn't used independently,but to be used sa accelerant,conditioning agent and modifier with other resins.

When putting copolymerized petroleum resin in rubber and tire filed, not only cohesive force among colloidal particles can be enlarged, but the cohesive force between colloidal particle and cord can also be increased, which applies to rubber products with high-demanding like radial tire and so on.
