Product description

Ferrous sulfate monohydrate, grayish white powder, also known as ferrosite, iron fertilizer. Odorless, salty, astringent taste. Soluble in water (1g/1. 5ml at 25℃ or 1g/0. 5ml boiling water), dissolved in glycerin. Insoluble in ethanol, corrosive, delirious weathering, with reducing properties. In the laboratory, it can be obtained by reacting copper sulfate solution with iron. It will weather in dry air. It is easily oxidized into brown - yellow alkaline ferric sulfate which is insoluble in water in humid air. 10% aqueous solution is acidic to litmus (Ph is about 3. 7). When heated to 70 ~ 73℃, 3 molecules of water are lost; when heated to 80 ~ 123℃, 6 molecules of water are lost; when heated to 156℃ and above, they are transformed into basic ferric sulfate.

Application

1. Industrial: used for making iron salt, iron oxide pigment, mordant, water purifier, antiseptic, disinfectant, etc.

2. Medicine: it is used as an antianemia drug, local astringent and blood tonic. The iron contained in it is the raw material for the synthesis of red blood cells in the body. It can be used for chronic blood loss caused by uterine fibroids. Analytical reagents and ferrite raw materials. It is also used to add iron to food. Long-term excessive use may cause abdominal pain, nausea and other side effects.

3. Water treatment: used for flocculation purification of treated water, removal of phosphate from urban and industrial sewage to prevent eutrophication of water bodies. Also widely used in bleaching, electroplating wastewater treatment, is a kind of efficient water purification flocculant, especially used in bleaching wastewater decolorization treatment, the effect is better.

4. Feed: Use as an iron supplement in feed.
