Product Description
The system operates semi-continuously from roll to roll. The design of the high vacuum web coating system is based on the two chamber principle.
The vacuum chamber is separated into a winding - and a process section.
Both sections are either with a roots blower or with an intermediate diffusion pumps connected to a mechanical pump set to gain the necessary pressure levels. When the working pressure is reached, the material to be metallized is moved from the unwind to the rewind side with adjustable speed while being exposed to the evaporator. In order to maintain low substrate temperature the substrate is in thermal contact with a machine cooled coating drum during the coating process.
