Melt pipe

Melt pipe is an important part of connecting extruder, metering pump, filter, distributor and die head, and its design is very critical. The non-uniformity of any melt temperature or velocity will affect the melt distribution in the die head, resulting in the film error. In the design, the length of melt pipe should be shortened as much as possible and the elbow should be reduced as much as possible. Electric heating is used to avoid overheating or supercooling of the melt pipe, resulting in uneven plasticization of the melt. (inner diameter of melt pipe: main extruder Φ 60; auxiliary extruder Φ 40)
