Hot riveting is a process to connect two or more parts, one of which requires thermoplastic material, the rest can be metal or non-metal parts. Through ultrasonic, hot air, hot mold, or infrared, the plastic riveting column is heated to soften the glass transition temperature (above Tg), and then the rivet head is applied to the riveting column and formed, so as to compress the connector.
