The double-head type ultrasonic transducer is an integration of converter and booster. The capacitance varies from 18NF to 27NF per the requirment of the customers. It has strong power, usually used for big-size ultrasonic plastic welding.

When it comes to the ultrasonic converter, its matching with the ultrasonic generator is quite important, there are four aspects to be paid attention to, the matching of impedance, frequency, power, and capacitance. The piezoelectric ceramics are usually isolated, so it is almost considered that the converter is not electrified, instead, it works almost as a capacitor. To make the transducer work, the actuality is to apply a high AC voltage to the transducer through the driving circuit, allowing the capacitor of the transducer to charge and discharge fully, Under the action of the alternating electric field, the piezoelectric ceramic plate does synchronous telescopic deformation and the whole transducer forms the longitudinal vibration, so is the booster and welding horn thereafter. Once the capacitance of the converter and the generator is not well matched, problems will occur, such as insufficient power of the converter which leads to weak ultrasonic welding result, or even more serious, the converter gets too much heat and burn.
