Kinds of cable tray
Ladder type : Consist of both longitudinal side rails connected by individual transverse members called rungs.
Solid bottom type : Consists of both longitudinal side rails connected with a reinforced solid bottom. Solid bottom trays are most often used to provide electrical or magnetic shielding for very sensitive communications and signal circuitry.
Perforated type : Consist of both longitudinal side rails connected with a perforated bottom. Perforations in the tray bottom allow for maximum airflow to cables, so they can stay cool and won’t build up heat.
