5052 Aluminum
5052 aluminum sheet product is a non-heat treatable aluminum alloy that displays excellent finishing qualities. Aluminum 5052 is easily weldable using a variety of techniques. It provides some of the best welding characteristics of any aluminum alloy. Among non-heat treatable alloys, 5052 is considered one of the strongest options.5052 aluminum sheet is also highly resistant to corrosion and has very good formability and durability. Although it is not heat treatable, aluminum 50502 can be strengthened through the work-hardening process (5052-H32). 5052 does not contain copper which makes it less susceptible to salt water corrosion than alloys with copper.
Superior corrosion resistance, good weldability, with excellent formability, makes 5052 Aluminum Plate a common choice for chemical, marine or saltwater applications. 5052 Aluminum Plate applications include: tanks, drums, marine hardware, boat hulls, etc.
