Originally intended to be used in those applications involving dilute sulfuric acid, the 904l Stainless Steel Tubing is extensively used in chemical processing industries. Specifically speaking the Stainless Steel 904l Pipe or also referred to as UNS N08904, is used in the production of phosphate based fertilizers. Deemed as a super austenitic stainless steel grade, the 904l Seamless Pipe has added contents of both molybdenum and copper in its alloy to enhance its mechanical or corrosion resistance properties.

The higher contents of chromium and molybdenum used to alloy the Sb 677 904l Stainless Steel Pipe ensures that it has excellent performance, especially in corrosive environments. Into the bargain of having good resistance to dilute sulfuric acid, the 904l Welded Pipe indicates good resistance to other inorganic acids as well as many organic acids. For instance, the ASTM B677 specified SS 904l Tube has remarkable resistance properties to hot phosphoric acid. Produced under this specification, the ASTM B677 Tp 904l could be produced either in a seamless, hot finished or cold worked condition. Typically, the tubes manufactured from ASTM B677 UNS N08904 grade are designed to be used for general corrosive service. Moreover, we supply the SS 904l Tubing in a solution treated condition, heat treated form followed by quenched in water or rapidly cooling by other methods

1) Monel 400

Monel is resistant to corrosion and acids, and some alloys can withstand a fire in pure oxygen. It is commonly used in applications with highly corrosive conditions. The good resistance against corrosion by acids and oxygen makes monel a good material for the chemical industry.

Hastelloy is a superalloy known for its resistance to high temperatures and stress in severely corrosive environments. Forged primarily from nickel, some types of Hastelloy alloys are common in nuclear reactors, chemical reactors and pipes & valves in chemical installations. Hastelloy X is also used for components such as combustion chambers, tail pipes in aircraft and land-based gas turbine engines.

Beryllium Copper: ASTM B194, B196, B197, B534
Copper beryllium alloys are used for their high strength and good electrical and thermal conductivities. There are two groups of copper beryllium alloys, high strength alloys and high conductivity alloys. Beryllium-copper alloys have desirable properties facilitating their use in a variety of demanding applications. The high-strength alloys (C17200 and C17000) are less dense (.298 lbs./cu. in.) than conventional specialty coppers. This often results in a yield of up to 7 percent more feet per pound than high-strength phosphor bronze. The high-conductivity beryllium-copper alloys (C17500 C17510 and C17410) are ideally suited to applications requiring high operating temperatures, or high strength and conductivity.

C17200 Beryllium Copper: ASTM B196, AMS 4533
Most commonly utilized beryllium copper alloy and is notable for exhibiting the highest strength and hardness compared to commercial copper alloys. Its strength and hardness is similar to that of steel. C17200 ultimate tensile and Rockwell hardness properties in a peak aged condition are in the 200 ksi range and RC 45 respectively (electrical conductivity 22% IACS minimum).

C175 - C17500 Beryllium Copper: ASTM B441, ASTM B534
C17500/C17510 offer a combination of high electrical and thermal conductivity with good strength compared to most copper based alloys. C17500 alloy is the mirror image of alloy C17510 in terms of its properties and characteristics. The alloys differ in that C17500 specifies a cobalt alloying addition (2.40-2.70%) and alloy 17510 specifies a nickel alloying addition (1.40-2.20%), but their performance are the same.
