With test button :

Test the unit to ensure proper operation by pressing the cover, the alarm will so   und if the unit are working well. If no sounds, you can refer to " Trouble Shooting" section for solution.

With Led Indicator :

1. Normal Status: Red Led Flashes once every 60 seconds.

2. Test Status: Red Led Flashes once every second.

3. Hush/Silence mode: Red Led flashes once every 8 seconds.

4. Low battery status: Red Led flashes once every 60 seconds and one beep every 60 seconds

5. Fault status: the alarm will deliver beeps every 40 seconds

With Silence mode :

During the unit alarming, you can push the test button, it will be paused the unit alarming for approx 10 minutes. The red led will flash once every 8 seconds, it indicates the smoke alarm device into the silence mode. The silence feature is to be used only when a known alarm condition, such as smoke from cooking activates the alarm. The smoke alarm will automatically reset after approximately 10 minutes, if after this period, particles of combustion are still present, the alarm will sound again.

Location to avoid:

• High - humidity ares such as kitchens, and bathrooms
• Next to air outlets , fans and central heating
• Dusty, dirty ares or ares with insects
• High temperature and easily polluted places
• Places with difficult access , making it difficult to operate the test function
• Within 1.5m from lamps
• Next to doors or windows
• In the top or rooms with sloping roofs , the corner of the room or other dead-air spaces

A: No. The LED indicator flashes green once every 60 seconds in standby mode, indicating normal operation.

A: SM11 works as a standalone unit. If you want interconnected smoke alarms, you can choose the  SM11R model in our website.

Q: Is this hardwired or battery power only?​

A: This model is battery-powered only.
