ASTM A194 Grade 2H alloy steel Quenched and tempered plain with oil heavy hex nuts

There are different types such as the 2h heavy hex nut which is used for heavy duty applications,The material of the nuts could be carbon steel, alloy steel or other stainless steel types. They come under the standard ANSI B18.2.2. . The nuts range from ¼ inches to 4 inches in nominal size and have up to 175ksi proof load stress. The astm a563 dh heavy hex nuts have minimum of 248  hardness score. The material of these nuts can contain carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, nickel and molybdenum based on the material grade.

Notes:
The markings shown for all grades of A194 nuts are for cold-formed and hot-forged nuts. When nuts are machined from bar stock, the nut must additionally be marked with the letter B. The letters H & M indicate heat-treated nuts.
