99.2% White Fused Alumina Blocky Shapes High Purity Aluminum Oxide
Tilting Furnace Barmac Crushed White Fused Alumina WFA for Mouldable and Ramming Refractory Products
1. White Fused Alumina Descriptions
White fused alumina is fused by alumina powder by melting above 2000℃ in electric arc furnace and cooling, through crushing, shaping, deironing and then divided into a variety of particle size by screening. It has the performance of high purity, self-sharpening, acid and alkali resistance, high temperature thermal stability and lower toughness. Its hardness is slightly higher than brown fused alumina. The abrasives made of it are suitable for manufacturing ceramic porcelain, resin consolidation abrasive and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting (Precision casting special corundum) etc.

5. White Fused Alumina Applications
Mouldable mixes are refractories which are installed by hammering or ramming and have sufficient plasticity to mould to whatever shape is required. Ramming mixes usually contain clay which is tempered with water, de-aired and extruded into blocks.
Ramming mixes contain the same refractory aggregates as mouldable but are supplied in a damp granular form ready for installation using pneumatic rammers. The mix, containing refractory minerals and clay, can also include organic plasticisers.
