Display Removal

Note: Before starting disassembly, remove the following components: – Capital letters.

- Accommodation on the front

To remove the active A11 screen:

1. Disconnect the active display cable. (See picture) From the used A11 display follows:

– Gently pull on both sides of the locking tabs on the connector.

– Pull the cable out of the socket. (Leave the cable connected to the UI board)

2. Disconnect the W17 backlight converter cable from the user interface board.

3. Remove the four 4-40 × .312 screws from the display cover.

NOTICE: Remove the two grounding straps attached to the top two screws of the display assembly. Replace a broken or frayed floor assembly. 4. Remove the display bracket from the front bezel.

5. Check the condition of the following parts. Remove and replace any part that shows cracks, frayed wires, or damaged connectors.

A08 Backlight Inverter - To be removed. Disconnect the display power cable from CN2. Disconnect the backlight converter cable W17 from CN1. Remove the backlight converter from the display bracket. New display mounts are required as they come pre-installed with glue and foam.

W15 Active Display Cable: Remove Remove the cable from the A05 UI board to J36 (the cable was removed from the active display in step 1).

W17 Backlight Inverter Cable - For removal. Disconnect it from the A05 UI board at J37. Disconnect from backlight converter A08 (if not previously removed) at CN1.

Display support (47) — Replace if necessary after removing old parts. The display stand is pre-installed with self-adhesive inverter backlight board and active display foam.

Thermal pad (201) - To remove, remove the old pad from the inside edge of the upper case.
