The batteries power the OxyGoFit® without the need to connect to an external power source. When fully charged, a single battery provides up to 2.7 hours of operation. Both batteries provide up to 5 hours of operation. The batteries are rechargeable when properly installed in the OxyGoFit® and the generator is connected to an AC or DC power source. The charging time is up to 3 hours for a single battery and up to 5 hours for two batteries. Refer to the information in the Battery Care and Maintenance section.

► Installing the Battery

Push the OxyGoFit® battery in until the latch returns to the up position.

► Warning

The OxyGoFit® battery serves as an auxiliary power source when the external AC or DC power source is interrupted, either planned or unexpectedly. When using the OxyGoFit® with an external AC or DC power source, ensure that the OxyGoFit® battery is properly inserted into the device. This process ensures uninterrupted operation and activates all alarms and warnings when the external power source is interrupted.

Ensure that the battery is in place and charged. Unplug the OxyGoFit®. When the OxyGoFit® is running on battery power, the battery will discharge. The screen shows the estimated remaining usage (%) or the number of minutes of usage (min).

When the generator detects that the battery is low and there are less than 10 minutes remaining, a low priority alarm will sound. When the battery is exhausted, the notification takes priority. If the battery life is low, do one of the following:

• Connect the OxyGoFit® to an AC or DC power source using the AC power or DC cable.

• Turn off the OxyGoFit® (press the ON/OFF button) and replace with a charged battery. To remove the battery, press and hold the battery lock button and slide the battery out of the hub.

• If the battery is exhausted, charge it or remove it from the generator.

If the OxyGoFit® is running on AC or DC power, the battery will charge during operation. Leaving the OxyGoFit® plugged in after it is fully charged will not damage the generator or battery.
