If the "Low Battery" message appears on the display and the unit beeps twice while displaying the message, the battery needs to be replaced and charged.

Battery charging can be accomplished using AC power in the unit, an optional DC input, or an external charger.

When an M-Series product is connected to an AC or DC power source, the charge indicator operates as follows:

The orange "Charger On" light will remain on when the unit is off and the battery is charging, or when the unit is on and the battery is installed.

When the unit is off and the built-in battery is fully charged to its current capacity, the green charge indicator will remain on.

When no battery is installed in the unit or a battery charging error is detected, the green and orange charge indicators will alternate.

The CHARGER ON light will remain off when the unit is not connected to AC power. If your M-Series unit is not working as expected, see “Troubleshooting the AC Charger” on page B-7.

The M-Series products use an easily replaceable sealed lead-acid battery that provides a minimum of 2.5 hours of monitoring time when a new battery is fully charged. The use of defibrillators, strip chart recorders and pacemakers will reduce this time. When the "Low Battery" message appears on the display and the device beeps twice while displaying the message, the battery must be replaced and charged.
