Store batteries in a dry, cool place with a stable temperature and away from direct sunlight. If necessary, use a lithium polymer safety bag to help control the heat and flames that may occur if lithium-ion batteries burn during charging or storage. Lithium-ion batteries are increasingly found in devices and systems that the public and first responders use or come into contact with every day. While these batteries are an effective and efficient source of power, if they are damaged or improperly used, charged, or stored, they have an increased risk of overheating, catching fire, or even causing an explosion. NFPA offers a variety of resources with information to promote safer use of lithium-ion batteries in various applications.

Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are the only approved power source. Disposable AA batteries are not compatible.

► Specifications

►Insert a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, use the following procedure:

1 Lift the bottom of the battery cover to open the battery compartment.

2 Remove the AA battery compartment (if applicable).

3 Insert the battery, aligning the raised tabs with the notches on the bottom of the battery compartment.

4 Close the battery cover.

5 Watch for the splash screen on the front to briefly light up.

►Removing the Batteries

The battery must be removed when the machine is not in use or stored. To remove the battery, open the battery cover and slide it into the opening at the bottom of the battery compartment to remove the battery.

The device settings (patient cable type, SpO2 mode, capacity, etc.) will remain unchanged when the battery is removed.

Do not use AA batteries with different charge levels. It is recommended to use new AA batteries each time you use them.
