Thermal oxidation represents the most suitable treatment technology for toxic and harmful VOC that doesn't require recycling. The oxidation process converts VOC into harmless CO₂ and H₂O through reaction with oxygen, similar to combustion but without visible flames due to low VOC concentrations.
Oxidation Methods
Two primary methods ensure efficient oxidation reaction:
- Catalytic Oxidation: Utilizes catalysts to enable oxidation at lower temperatures. Available in precious metal (Pt, Pd) and non-precious metal (transition metal oxides) formulations
