Catalyzed GPF Gasoline Particulate Filter
Euro 6 compliant gasoline-specific wall-flow honeycomb ceramic substrate designed for both active and passive regeneration processes.
Regeneration Technology
Passive Regeneration
Occurs during normal driving when the driver releases the accelerator pedal. Engine cutoff allows oxygen to enter the GPF, enabling natural regeneration without additional energy consumption.
Active Regeneration
Activated when passive regeneration is insufficient. The vehicle enters specific operating conditions (e.g., 80 km/h for 30 minutes) where the ECM adjusts ignition timing to increase exhaust temperature, facilitating GPF regeneration through elevated temperatures and oxygen dilution.
Note: Ash accumulation (CaO, P2O5, ZnO, SO3, Fe2O3) cannot be removed through regeneration and requires periodic GPF replacement at maintenance facilities.
