High-Carbon Synthetic Graphite Powder
High-Carbon Synthetic Graphite Powder
Graphite powder is a mineral powder whose main component is carbon. It is soft in texture and has a dark gray color. Under oxygen-free conditions, its melting point exceeds 3000℃, making it one of the most heat-resistant minerals.
Applications
1. As a refractory material: Graphite and its products possess high temperature resistance and high strength. It is mainly used in the steel industry, commonly as a protective agent for steel ingots and as a lining for blast furnaces.
2. As a conductive material: In the electrical industry, graphite is used in the production of electrodes, brushes, carbon rods, graphite gaskets, telephone parts, and coatings for television picture tubes.
3. As a wear-resistant lubricant: Graphite is often used as a lubricant in the mechanical industry. Many pieces of equipment that handle corrosive media often use graphite materials to manufacture piston cups, seals, and bearings.
