Working principle

Molten steel flow rate is adjusted by adjusting the gap between the stopper rod and the upper nozzle.

The gap between the stopper rod and the nozzle is controlled by automatic or manual mode:automatic control is made by outside-installed power-driven cylinder and manual control by handle.

The stopper rod can be quickly closed for nozzle change so as to guarantee the billet quality.

The stopper rod can also be used to close the nozzle in emergency of tundish accident so as to protect the casting the casting mold and reduce the loss.
