Carbon steel characteristics
The carbon content of carburized carbon steel is generally in the range of 0.15--0.25%, for heavy carburizing body, can be increased to 0.25--0.30% carbon carburized carbon steel, the most used is 15 and 20 steel, they after carburizing and heat treatment surface hardness can reach 56--62HRC.
However, due to low hardenability, it is only suitable for small parts with low core strength requirements, small force and wear resistance, such as sleeve and chain.
