IEC 62196 Ball Pressure Test Apparatus For Electric Vehicle Charging Connectors

This test equipment complies with IEC 62196-1:2025 Clause 29.3. It applies to insulating components of electric vehicle conductive charging connectors and charging plugs. The equipment is used to conduct heat resistance tests on electrical housings and external parts made of insulating materials of EV charging devices for verifying heat resistance performance. In accordance with the test principle, samples are placed in a high-temperature oven and tested at 40/70/125±2°C for 1 hour, then immersed in cold water within 10 seconds to cool to ambient temperature. The measured diameter of the impression formed on the sample shall not exceed 2 mm.
