The glow wire apparatus heats a specialized Ni80/Cr20 filament to testing temperatures ranging from 550°C to 960°C for 1 minute using high current. It then applies precise vertical pressure (1.0N) to burn test samples for 30 seconds. By observing sample ignition and burning duration, users can accurately assess fire hazards in electrical and electronic products.
