Simulates external impact conditions that batteries may encounter during use, transportation, and storage to evaluate structural integrity and safety performance.

A 15.8mm diameter steel rod is positioned across the center of the test sample. A 9.1kg or 10kg weight is dropped from a specified height (610mm or 1000mm) onto the sample. Cylindrical batteries are positioned with their longitudinal axis parallel to the plane and perpendicular to the steel column, while square batteries are oriented with their maximum axis perpendicular to the steel column and maximum surface perpendicular to the impact direction.
