Polyacrylamide Flocculant Water Treatment Cas No 9003 05 8 PAM Powder
Pam Chemical Water Treatment Purification Flocculant White Granular Polyacrylamide
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear organic high molecular polymer and a high molecular water treatment flocculant product. It is divided into three categories: cationic polyacrylamide, anionic polyacrylamide and non-ionic polyacrylamide. It can absorb suspended particles in water, play a role in connecting and bridging between particles, making small particles form larger flocs and speeding up the settling speed. This process is called flocculation. Due to its good flocculation effect, PAM is widely used in sewage treatment as a flocculant in water treatment.

Polyacrylamide characteristics
1. Flocculation. PAM can neutralize suspended solids through electricity to achieve flocculation
2. Adhesion. It can be combined through physical and chemical actions.
3. Thickening. It has a thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions. If the PH value is above 10, PAM is easily hydrolyzed.
The main use of polyacrylamide
Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer with valuable properties such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, drag reduction, and dispersion. According to different derivatized ions, these characteristics have their own emphasis. Therefore, it is widely used in petroleum exploration, mineral processing, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical industry, papermaking, textile, sugar, medicine, environmental protection, building materials, agricultural production and other sectors.
