Description:

FENTENG RP332 is an internal plasticizer suitable for the production of modified urea-formaldehyde resin and the production of impregnated decorative paper. It can improve the brittleness and ductility of urea-formaldehyde resin.

Performance:

Urea-formaldehyde resin (UF), also known as urea formaldehyde resin, is urea and formaldehyde in the catalyst (alkaline or acidic catalyst) under the action of condensation into initial urea-formaldehyde resin, and then in the curing agent or additives to form insoluble, non-melting late thermosetting resin. After curing, urea-formaldehyde resin color is lighter than phenolic resin, translucent, weak acid, weak base resistance, good insulation performance, excellent wear resistance, cheap, it is the largest amount of adhesives, especially in the wood processing industry in the manufacture of various wood-based panels, urea-formaldehyde resin accounted for about 90% of the total amount of adhesives. However, urea-formaldehyde resin is easy to decompose in strong acid and alkali, poor weather resistance, poor initial viscosity, large shrinkage, brittleness, water resistance and easy aging. The wood-based panel produced with urea-formaldehyde resin has the problem of formaldehyde release in the process of manufacturing and use. Therefore, the urea-formaldehyde resin used in the production of furniture decorative paper must be modified with resin modifier (FENTENG RP332) to change the brittleness and ductility of resin.

Applications:

The recommended dosage of this additive is 3%-5% by weight of the liquid resin, It is recommended to start at 4%.and the actual dosage depends on the brightness of the decorative paper and the pressing process.
