140/170 Mesh Cubic Boron Nitride Powder CBN A80 By 60% Nickel Coated
140/170 Mesh CBN Cubic Boron Nitride Powder for high speed steel
Description:
Cubic boron nitride is extremely hard, with a microhardness of HV7200-9800, which is lower than that of diamond. Similar to diamond, cubic boron nitride is an insulator but an excellent heat conductor. The structure is similar to the boron nitride form of diamond, also called cube boron nitride, c-BN, β-BN, or z-BN (named after the Zinc Blende crystal structure). It is a widely used industrial diamond Grinding tools.
Cubic boron nitride (CBN) is a superhard material whose hardness is second only to diamond. It not only has many excellent characteristics of diamond, but also has higher thermal stability and chemical inertness to iron group metals and their alloys. As an engineering material, it has been widely used in the processing industry of ferrous metals and their alloy materials. At the same time, with its excellent thermal, electrical, optical and acoustic properties, it has been applied in a series of high-tech fields and has become a functional material with development prospects.
There are two types of cubic boron nitride, single crystal and polycrystalline sintered body. The single crystal is made of hexagonal boron nitride and catalyst at a pressure of 3000-8000 MPa and a temperature of 800-1900°C. Typical catalyst materials are selected from alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, tin, lead, antimony and their nitrides. The crystal forms of cubic boron nitride include tetrahedral truncated cones, octahedrons, crooked crystals and twin crystals. Industrial cubic boron nitride has black, amber, and metal-plated surfaces, and the particle size is usually less than 1 mm. It has better thermal stability than diamond and chemical inertness to iron group metals. The abrasive tools used to manufacture are suitable for processing hard and tough materials, such as high-speed steel, tool steel, die steel, bearing steel, nickel and Cobalt-based alloy, chilled cast iron, etc. When grinding steel with cubic boron nitride abrasive tools, most of them can obtain high grinding ratio and processed surface quality.
Improve grinding efficiency to a new level
CBN/cubic boron nitride powder is with high hardness and high temperature resistance, four times that of traditional abrasive in wear resistance, and have extraordinary thermal conductivity.
There are hundreds of raw materials needed to use CBN to grind in present manufacturing market, from aerospace superalloys and thermal spraying to the hardened steel in automotive bearing and gear industry to improve efficiency and get the shortest processing time.
