Introduction:
Mg-Mn sacrificial anodes are common binary high-potential alloys, in which Mn element in the alloy can make the second phase distribution uniform, promote grain refinement, and improve its electrochemical performance. Mg-Mn alloy with low Mn content, the influence of Mn content on its microstructure and electrochemical properties was analyzed, the appropriate amount of Mn added (0.08%~0.4%) was determined, and impurities in the Mg-Mn sacrificial anode were found. Elements can cause large solute segregation and obvious grain size differences, so reducing impurity elements is the preferred method for performance improvement.
