1.7V Magnesium Sacrificial Anodes ASTM Mag Anode Gas Storage Tanks LPG
1.7V High Potential Magnesium Sacrificial Anodes ASTM Mag Anode Gas Storage Tanks LPG
Introduction:
Magnesium and its alloys (secondary subject) Magnesium anodes have high driving voltage, low current efficiency and high cost. Depending on the shape and electrode potential (open circuit potential), magnesium anodes can be used in soil or freshwater environments with resistivity between 20 ohm·m and 50 ohm·m.
The potential of the high-potential magnesium anode was -1.75V CSE and the driving voltage was 0.85V; the potential of the low-potential magnesium anode was -1.55V CSE and the driving voltage was 0.7V. The use temperature can reach 100℃. When the remaining amount of the sacrificial anode is 15% of the original weight, the anode is considered to be ineffective, so the usage rate of the anode is generally 85%.
Magnesium sacrificial anode features:
Magnesium alloy sacrificial anode features: good protection performance, easy installation, automatic operation after installation, no maintenance, no external current, low engineering cost, easy replacement, etc. Magnesium alloy anode is an ideal cathodic protection method.

Applications:
Magnesium alloy sacrificial anode is an ideal sacrificial anode material, suitable for soil and fresh water media, because of its negative potential, which is lower than that of steel, with extremely high electrochemical performance, uniform anode consumption, long life and large power generation per unit mass. Cathodic protection of metal structures, used in oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines, underground oil tanks, oil platforms, water heaters, etc.
