XFD Single Cell Lab Flotation Machine 0.5-3.0L Copper Zinc Lead Gold Separation Test Equipment

The XFD single cell laboratory flotation machine is a compact test unit for studying the floatability of copper, zinc, lead, gold and other ores before a flowsheet is fixed. With tank volumes from 0.5 L to 3.0 L, it lets the mineral processing laboratory run batch rougher, cleaner and scavenger tests on small ore charges and compare reagent schemes quickly.

Motor-driven impeller rotation creates centrifugal force and negative pressure in the cell, simultaneously aerating the slurry, mixing the reagents and refining the bubbles. The machine therefore builds its own flotation circuit without auxiliary blowers or pumps.

The impeller rotates below the slurry surface and draws air down the standpipe. Air, slurry and reagents are mixed in the impeller zone, and the bubbles rise through the pulp carrying hydrophobic mineral particles to the froth layer, where the scraper removes the concentrate. Gangue minerals remain in the cell and are discharged at the end of the test, giving a clean mass balance for each experimental condition.

The machine is used for ore selectivity research and beneficiation experiments on copper, zinc, lead, nickel and gold ores, as well as for rougher and selection tests on ferrous metals and non-metallic minerals in geological, metallurgical and chemical laboratories.
