VE5 Slew Drive Description
Due to the high gear ratio and the large surface contact between worm and worm gear, very high torque values can be transmitted by very small sized slew drives which means highest power density. Worm gear driven slew drives could be used in applications which demand of low speed and high torque such as solar trackers, concentrated heat power stations. When it is used in continuous rotation applications with high rotation speed is not permissible due to higher duty which will cause overheating inside the drives and failure to function.
