Automatic Transfer Switches are essential components that enable seamless and immediate transfer of electrical current between multiple power sources and the load. The ATS prevents dangerous feedback of current to utility systems during generator operation and ensures complete synchronization before combining power sources or transferring loads.

When utility power is interrupted, the transfer switch automatically starts the generator. Within 5-10 seconds, when full power is achieved, it disconnects the load from utility and connects to the generator. Once utility power is restored, the system switches back and initiates an automatic generator cool-down and shutdown sequence.
